The Ministry of the Interior suspended Buca Mayor Görkem Duman from office on June 8. The ministry stated that it took this measure because an arrest warrant had been issued for Duman as part of an investigation into charges of forming an illegal organization, membership in an illegal organization, bribery, and embezzlement.
