RTÜK issued 41 sanctions over broadcast content in the first six months of 2026. The council imposed 39 administrative fines totaling 112.075 million lira and issued two warnings. According to data cited by RTÜK member Tuncay Keser, 30 sanctions were imposed on 18 television channels, which were fined a total of 108.8 million lira. Digital platforms were fined 2.8 million lira and radio stations 360,000 lira. Keser said the sanctions were imposed mainly over violent and sexual content in television series, films and daytime programs.
