The police intervened the protest of the Stop the Occupation in Palestine Platform and various NGOs against the docking of the ship VELA at Mersin Port in Yüksel Street. Some protesters were detained. The protesters called for an embargo on VELA, which carries support for Israel, and demanded freedom for the Madleen ship. After the police attack, the blockade was broken and a press statement was made.
