Koç University launched a disciplinary investigation against 8 students for anti-Israel graffiti and Gezi commemoration during the Spring Festival. The students described the investigation, which was carried out without concrete evidence, as “an arbitrary, political and intimidating operation.” “Condemning the massacre in Gaza is not a crime, it is an honor,” the statement read. The university administration was also criticized for its past double standards and impunity policies towards the attackers. Students demanded that the investigations be withdrawn and universities remain free spaces.
