A lawsuit was filed against author Adem Özköse due to violating the Act No. 5816 on “The Law Concerning Crimes Committed Against Atatürk.” Özköse is charged due to criticising the ritual of bowing in front of the Atatürk bust through his social media account, saying, “We say, ‘Atatürk is not a deity.’”
