The first hearing of the lawsuit filed against Turkish Journalists Union Disciplinary Council Chairman Rahmi Yıldırım due to his article, entitled, “I am so sad for the Chief of General Staff!” was held at Ankara Gölbaşı 3rd Criminal Court of First Instance. The journalist is charged with “insulting” former Chief of General Staff Hulusi Akar due to the article he shared on his own blog page on February 3, 2017. The prosecution of the journalist will continue on December 25, 2019 at 15:00.
