An operation targeting ISIS was conducted as part of an investigation coordinated by the Sakarya Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office. During the operation carried out by teams from the Provincial Security Directorate’s Anti-Terrorism Branch, five individuals were detained for their involvement in the organization’s activities and for providing financial support to the organization. Searches conducted at the suspects’ addresses yielded ISIS flag-logoed magnets, stickers, and digital materials. Of the suspects referred to the court, two were detained, two were released, and one was sent to the Irregular Migrant Pre-Acceptance and Transfer Center.
