In Istanbul, police intervened in a march planned by the DEM Party, HDK, and the Democratic Institutions Platform against the attacks on Rojava. The crowd attempting to march from Aksaray Square to Saraçhane was met with pepper spray. During the intervention, approximately 70 people, including DEM Party Istanbul Provincial Co-Chair Vedat Çınar Altan and journalist Uğurcan Boztaş, were detained. DEM Party Istanbul Deputy Celal Fırat was beaten by police and taken to the hospital.
