Following statements by Pınar Türker, the general manager of MEDYA AŞ who is currently in custody as part of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) investigation, alleging that she was subjected to a strip search at the police station, the Ministry of the Interior launched an investigation. The ministry announced on June 11 that it had assigned two inspectors to thoroughly investigate all aspects of the allegations.
