The police intervened against the statement organised in front of Sincan Prison for People’s Democratic Party (HDP) Parliament member Ömer Faruk Gergerlioğlu, who is still under arrest at the prison despite the Constitutional Court decree on his release due to rights violations during his prosecution. Four people, including the Parliament member’s son Salih Gergerlioğlu and Artı TV cameraman Nazım Fayık, were beaten and detained. Journalists Büşra Taşkıran and Berna Kişin were beaten during the police intervention as well.
