A lawsuit was filed against BirGün executives for their news article on Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor Akın Gürlek. İbrahim Aydın, Uğur Koç and Yaşar Gökdemir face up to 5 years in prison for “insulting a public official” and “targeting a person fighting against terrorism”. The first hearing will be held on June 30th at Istanbul 23rd High Criminal Court.
