KRT TV owner Fırat Bozfırat’s name was mentioned in the news reports about the 21-day resistance of the employees due to unpaid wages. Istanbul 8th Criminal Judicature of Peace restricted access on July 18, 2025 on the grounds of “national security” and “protection of public order”. KRT workers had previously stopped work and broadcasting to defend both their salaries and editorial independence. The resistance ended with the announcement of a timetable for payments.
