The Constitutional Court rejected the appeal regarding the 40,000 lira in moral damages ordered to be paid to Berat Albayrak over the “128 billion dollars” video shared on the CHP’s social media account. In its ruling announced on June 12, the court determined that freedom of expression had not been violated and that the damages were not disproportionate.
