DEM Party MPs brought the issue of a Kurdish book sent to a prisoner in a prison not being delivered by the administration to the agenda of the Turkish Grand National Assembly. The MPs submitted a motion for questioning, requesting a response from Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç. The motion asked why the book was blocked, the legal basis for the practice of banning Kurdish publications in prisons, and the number of similar cases. The MPs stated that blocking access to publications in one’s mother tongue violates the principles of freedom of expression and equality.
