Journalist Sultan Eylem Keleş was detained while covering the protest of Bimeks workers in front of Boğaziçi University.
She was sentenced to 8 months and 10 days in prison for “resisting against a public officer”.
She was acquitted of “insulting a public officer” in the same case. The announcement of the verdict was deferred.
Keleş was detained during police intervention in 2020.
