The third hearing of the lawsuit filed against journalist İsmail Arı due to “insult” and “slander” upon the complaint of MHP MP Levent Uysal was held on July 10 at Istanbul 2nd Criminal Court of First Instance. Arı did not attend the hearing. His lawyer requested a notarized document to be submitted to the court and information about Vakıfbank’s criminal complaint. The court decided to obtain the documents and write a letter to the prosecutor’s office and adjourned the hearing to January 13, 2026.
