Nizip 5th Criminal Court of First Instance acquitted JINNEWS reporter Derya Ren in the lawsuit filed against her due to “publicly insulting a public official”. The court ruled that the legal elements of the crime were not established. Ren was detained by the police on January 7 while he was following the murder of a woman, and a lawsuit was filed against him after he objected to the curses hurled at him and his family. DFG and MLSA representatives also followed the hearing.
