The lawsuit filed against journalist Velat Öztekin on the charge of “insulting the President” due to sharing two cartoons, one of which was drawn by Carlos Latuff, on social media, has started at the Diyarbakır 7th Criminal Court of First Instance. The court adjourned the case to May 31, issuing that the journalist, who did not attend the hearing because he was abroad, would be summoned to the next hearing by force.
