The first hearing of the lawsuit filed against a person who participated in the picnic held in Maçka Park as part of the 2021 Istanbul LGBTQI+ Pride Week on the charge of “insulting a public official” was held at the Istanbul 44th Criminal Court of First Instance. The trial, in which both the complainant and the witness are police officers, will continue on June 30.
