The first hearing of the lawsuit filed against Grup Yorum members Sultan Gökçek, Bergün Varan and choir student Tuğçe Tayyar was held at Istanbul 36th Assize Court. The three names have been detained and arrested in the operation organized in November 2019 against Idil Cultural Center. Tayyar was released in the hearing; whereas Varan and Gökçek will remain under arrest. The next hearing was scheduled for May 20.
