The lawsuit filed against Aydınlık Daily’s former Editor-In-Chief Mustafa İlker Yücel and employee Orhan Ceyhun Bozkurt due to charges related to the coverage of Turkish National Intelligence (MIT) Trucks stopped on their way to Syria, was abated. Istanbul 14th Assize Court decided for the lawsuit against the defendants, charged with “announcing confidential information related to the security of state” to be abated due to the lawsuit being filed after the four-month legal period, and for another criminal complaint to be made against the defendants due to the charge of “obtaining confidential information on the security of state.”
