A summary was prepared against People’s Democratic Party (HDP) Van MP and Deputy Co-Chair Nadir Yıldırım due to his social media posts on Afrin.
Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office presented three posts of Yıldırım, published on January 20 as a reaction against the Afrin operation, as evidence to the charge. The summary asserted that the illegal organization is being displayed to both the national and the international media as “innocent” and “good” and that “the illegal organization is thus being praised, its activities encouraged” and that other actions of the organization are attempted to be legitimized; charging the MP with ‘making illegal organization propaganda.’
