Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office initiated an ex officio investigation against CHP Chairman Özgür Özel for his remarks against Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor Akın Gürlek on the allegations of “incitement to commit a crime”, “insulting and threatening a public official”. The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office is also conducting an investigation on the same grounds. Özel reacted to the CHP members being taken to the courthouse in a line and said, “I will not see that dishonor again… I will come and destroy it.”
