The Ankara Governor’s Office has implemented extensive security measures in the city ahead of the NATO Summit to be held on July 7–8. The Governor’s Office has banned demonstrations and marches between July 1 and 15 and suspended numerous events between July 6 and 12. It was announced that security checks at the city’s entry points would be stepped up and that certain individuals would be barred from entering Ankara.
