The CHP Central Executive Board, chaired by Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, launched disciplinary proceedings against a large number of provincial chairpersons on June 17 and removed some provincial executive boards from office. The provincial chairpersons of Erzurum, Bursa, and Bitlis were removed from office, while the executive boards of the Ankara and İzmir provincial organizations were also dissolved.
