An indictment was prepared against journalist Nurcan Yalçın, who was detained during a raid against her home on February 4 as part of an investigation conducted by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, on the charge of “wilfully aiding a terrorist organization”. In the indictment, the interviews made by the journalist during the curfews in Diyarbakır’s Sur district were counted as criminal elements. The first hearing of the case will be held on May 17 at the Diyarbakır 5th Assize Court.
