The Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office launched an operation against Üsküdar Municipality over allegations of irregularities in building-permit and occupancy-permit procedures. Police detained Mayor Sinem Dedetaş, Deputy Mayor Ceyhun Ünlü, Chief of Staff Alihan Koçoğlu, architect Burçin Çevik, business intermediary Adem Altıntaş and contractor Bülent Orhan Tozkoparan. Teams searched 11 addresses and seized numerous digital materials.
