NATO rejected, without providing any justification, the accreditation applications of numerous media outlets for the Leaders’ Summit to be held in Ankara, including Cumhuriyet, ANKA, Sözcü, Halk TV, T24, Medyascope and İlke TV. No right of appeal was granted against the decision. Journalists and press organisations called for the practice to be reversed.
