An indictment was issued against lawyer Aslı Kazan, who recalled the actions of the Prosecutor leading the arrest of Osman Kavala on social media. Kazan was charged with “insult” in the indictment, which was prepared upon the complaint of Hasan Yılmaz, who was elected as a member of the Council of Judges and Prosecutors and is currently the Deputy Minister of Justice. Kazan is charged with “insult” due to her post, that said, “The Council of Judges and Prosecutors is asking for the list of judges who arrested Osman Kavala. But do not forget. Hasan Yılmaz, who prompted Kavala to be arrested again and prepared a biased/unsubstantiated indictment, is a member of the HSK. Will the one who was arrested unjustly hold the wrongdoer accountable?”
