Hakan Mazman, one of the lawyers of the Hatay Bar Association, was prosecuted for his social media posts from 5 years ago. In the hearing held at the Iskenderun 2nd Criminal Court of First Instance, the Prosecutor’s Office presented its opinion on the merits and demanded that Mazman be sentenced for “insulting the President” because of his posts such as, “Everything reminds us of the coup in all the institutions we have changed now” and “Neither by a single man nor a coup, long live, fully-independent Turkey”. The case was adjourned to November 30.
