Şırnak Governorate banned all events to be organized for support of People’s Democratic Party (HDP) Hakkari Mp Leyla Güven, who is on a hunger strike, for 15 days. The statement made by the Governorate indicated, “All events to support Güven as well as others which are the continuation of previous events on the same matters (marches, demonstration, press statements, hunger strikes, sit-in protests, building booths/tents etc.) were banned, effective from 12.02.2019 within the borders of the province, including the provincial center and districts.”
