The Constitutional Court has concluded the application of rights advocate and former Amnesty International Turkey Director İdil Eser, who was prosecuted within the Büyükada Case. The high court decided that it was a rights violation that Eser was arrested within the case and decided for 40 thousand Turkish Liras of moral compensation to be paid to Eser. Eser had been detained on July 5, 2017 and arrested on July 18, 2017 within the file. Then she was released together with seven other rights advocates in the hearing held on October 25, 2017. The application of Özlem Dalkıran, another rights advocate having been prosecuted in the Büyükada Case, has concluded the same way.
