In Yalova, prison sentences were handed down in a case against Recep Adıgüzel and Berkant Fitoz, who reported that AKP MP Meliha Akyol had parked her vehicle in a no-parking zone. The two individuals were sentenced to 2 years and 1 month in prison on charges of “illegally obtaining and disseminating personal data” for recording police conversations during a live broadcast on social media at the time of the incident. The appellate court upheld the decision, and the sentence became final.
