The number of individuals taken into custody in the investigation into bribery, embezzlement, and bid-rigging targeting the Manavgat Municipality has risen to 40. In the investigation, which is being conducted under the coordination of the Manavgat Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, 12 of the suspects referred to the courthouse were arrested. Thirteen individuals were released under judicial supervision, while 13 others were released after giving their statements; proceedings for two individuals at the courthouse are ongoing. As part of the investigation, former Manavgat Mayor Şükrü Sözen and his brother Fatih Sözen had previously been arrested.
