The first hearing of the lawsuit filed against 49 people for attending Aysel Doğan’s funeral was held at Tunceli 1st Criminal Court of First Instance. The participants are charged with “unlawful assembly”. The defendants stated that they attended the funeral as a humanitarian duty and demanded acquittal. The court adjourned the hearing to October 17 due to the arrest warrants issued for some defendants.
