Actor Levent Üzümcü published a video on his social media account and announced that his theater play, entitled, “It Is Your Story That’s Being Told,” was banned once again.

Üzümcü expressed his experiences on a video he shared on Instagram and indicated that the college assigning the auditorium for the staging of the play was put under a lot of pressure. “These days when the art and the artist is free as never before, and that democracy is as progressed as never before, the auditorium of the college in Iskenderun was taken from us due to heavy oppression. The college administration no longer permits us to stage the play there. Watching our play, which is a play of friendship, brotherhood and peace; is for another free tomorrow for the people of Iskenderun. I sincerely apologize for that,” said the artist. The same play’s staging on December 3, Saturday at Nihat Gökyiğit Congress and Cultural Center of Çoruh University in Artvin has previously been cancelled by Artvin Governorate.
