The Constitutional Court ruled that the individual application regarding Sürmi İnce, who was killed by gunfire from an armored vehicle in the Yüksekova district of Hakkâri in 2016, was inadmissible. The Court ruled that the applicants’ status as victims had ceased to exist due to the conviction of a soldier in criminal proceedings and the award of compensation in administrative proceedings. İnce’s family announced that they would appeal the decision to the European Court of Human Rights.
