Spor Toto 3rd League team Cizrespor was exposed to a racist attack during the Serik Municipality Sports Game in Antalya. Before the game started, the host team supporters chanted racist slogans along with the song, “I would die for you Turkey”. Furthermore, the football players and the technical team were beaten after the game. As the players left the stadium in armoured vehicles, Club Chairman Maruf Sefinç reacted against the attack and said, “I strongly reprimand those who do not get their share of humanity.” Artists, politicians and writers reacted against the attack on Twitter with the hashtag #CizreSporluyuz [#WeSupportCizrespor].
