A petition campaign was started to support People’s Democratic Party (HDP) Hakkari MP and Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-Chair Leyla Güven, who is on a hunger strike for 75 days with the demand to revoke the isolation against PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan.
DTK Co-Chair Leyla Güven was elected as HDP Hakkari MP on the June 24, 2018 elections. Güven was detained on January 22, 2018 with a house raid. Arrested since January 31, 2018, Güven announced on November 8, 2018 that she is on an indefinite hunger strike at Diyarbakır Prison with the demand to remove the isolation applied to PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan in prison.
3.733 people supported the petition campaign to support Güven within two days. The campaign aims at 5000 people.
