People’s Democratic Party (HDP) Legal and Human Rights Commission announced the 2018 Report. According to the report, Hakkari MP Leyla Güven and 15 former MPs are in prison; at least two thousands HPD members or supporters were detained and at least 500 were arrested in 2018. 29 politicians who served as MPs or party executives were sentenced to imprisonment; 50 mayors are in prison and trustees were assigned to 94 Democratic Regions Party (DBP) municipalities.
