Seven non-governmental organizations, including our Initiative, sent a letter to oppositional leaders and said, “You can’t protect the country, nor democracy by remaining silent against the demonizing and vanishing politics the ruling coalition is conducting against the People’s Democratic Party (HDP), and by leaving HDP outside of alliances… We expect a courage that puts the interests of the entire country and people before the interests of the party.” The letter emphasized that leaders must “fight together for democracy” and was sent to oppositional party leaders Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, Pervin Buldan, Mithat Sancar, Meral Akşener, Temel Karamollaoğlu, Ahmet Davutoğlu and Ali Babacan.
