A lawsuit was filed against 66 people, including Sendika.Org reporter Zişan Gür, who was beaten and detained while covering the protests in Saraçhane following the detention of IBB Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, due to “failure to disperse despite the warning”. While the indictment did not include any evaluation of Gür’s journalistic activity, the indictment cited various slogans and the tension with the police. The first hearing will be held on September 19 at Istanbul 26th Criminal Court of First Instance.
