Like his first account, arrested journalist Furkan Karabay’s newly opened X (formerly Twitter) account was blocked on the grounds of “protection of national security and public order” under Article 8/A of Law No. 5651. Thus, Karabay’s second account on the X platform was also rendered invisible from Turkey. Karabay was previously arrested on charges of “insulting the President” and “targeting people who took part in the fight against terrorism”.
