An investigation was launched against Çağlayan Bozacı, who lost his father Osman Turan Bozacı in the October 10 Ankara Massacre, on the charge of “insulting the President” because of the speech he gave at his father’s grave in Pazar district of Rize on the anniversary of the massacre. Bozacı was detained and was later released on the condition of judicial measures. Çağlayan Bozacı had previously been prosecuted due to his statements during the October 10 hearings on the charge of “insulting the President” and had been sentenced to 11 months and 20 days of imprisonment.
