An investigation was launched against T24 writer and journalist Hasan Cemal on the charge of “insulting the President” due to his social media posts. The journalist, who testified within the scope of the investigation launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, said, “There is no insult to the President in the two retweets I have shared and the tweet I shared. All three are within the scope of freedom of expression.”
