Five members of the Kadıköy-based black metal band Sarinvomit were detained for allegedly insulting religious values in their lyrics and social media posts. B.S, Ç.Y, G.K, İ.A.K. and K.R.Ç. were arrested on charges of “inciting or insulting the public to hatred and hostility”. Group members deny the charges.
