Educators Nursel Tanrıverdi and Selvi Polat were acquitted in the lawsuit they were on trial due to “organizing illegal meetings and demonstrations” due to holding a protest with the claim of re-employment after being dismissed from their duties with emergency decrees. The educators have been arrested due to violating the previous court decree on “not approaching Bakırköy Square closer than 200 meters” and were released 16 days later. Bakırköy 23rd Criminal Court of First Instance recorded that the two names have the right to file lawsuits of compensation due to being taken under arrest during the prosecution.
