People’s Democratic Party (HDP) Diyarbakır Provincial Co-Chair Hülya Alökmen was sentenced to 10 years and six months of imprisonment due to “illegal organisation membership.” Diyarbakır 9th Assize Court issued a warrant against Alökmen, who was accused of being a Democratic Society Congress (DTK) delegate due to the protests and demonstrations organised by the Health and Social Services Labourers’ Union (SES) Diyarbakır Branch in 2012 as he was the Branch Co-Chair.
