The Diyarbakır 5th Heavy Penal Court held the sixth hearing on February 17, 2026, in the case against journalist-writer Mehmet Şahin on charges of “being a member of an organization.” Şahin and his lawyer Resul Temur attended the hearing in the case, which had previously been combined with three other cases. The court panel sent the case file to the prosecutor’s office for the preparation of the opinion on the merits and postponed the hearing until June 11, 2026, at 9:00 a.m.
