The indictment prepared against Mesopotamia Agency reporter Mehmet Aslan, who was arrested in January, due to “illegal organisation membership” and “reporting news that are provocative for the masses” was accepted by Istanbul 24th Assize Court. The case was based on the news Aslan has reported as well as his meetings with news sources; and the first hearing of the lawsuit will be held on May 26.
